Architectural reuse and sustainability: the new look of Binishell domes 🎾

In an era in which sustainability guides production and design choices, industrial architecture can also become a protagonist of positive change.

Our historic Binishell domes have been recovered, renovated and reinterpreted: a concrete example of intelligent reuse of space. The result? Architecture that speaks of the future, sustainability and corporate identity.

In the world of recycling and sustainability, it is not only materials that can be regenerated. Industrial spaces can also be transformed, enhanced and reinterpreted according to the principles of the circular economy.

That’s what we’ve done here at Laprima Plastics with our iconic Binishell domes. These architectural structures, designed in the 1960s by engineer Dante Bini, are a unique example of industrial architecture: resistant, versatile, curious. And today, more than ever, sustainable.

Architectural reuse and sustainability: this is the new look of the Binishell domes! We have chosen not to demolish, but to recover and renovate. The domes, once anonymous, are now an integral part of our corporate identity. And now they also have a new look, thanks to the complete refurbishment of the domes’ external cladding.

Already visible on Google Maps, our domes have been covered: one in white, the other in bright yellow, like a giant tennis ball: a tribute to the RETURN.tennis project, of which we are proud technical partners.

The initiative aims to recycle used tennis balls, transforming them into new resources: a perfect example of intelligent reuse and circularity applied to sport.

With this project, we wanted to convey our philosophy, including visually:

✅ restoring existing heritage

✅ reducing environmental impact

✅ enhancing every element in a sustainable way

Our Binishells are not just a roof over your head, but rather a concrete manifestation of our way of doing business and our corporate philosophy: innovative, responsible and circular.
